Frequently asked questions: persons with disabilities
Is the park accessible for people with disabilities?
The park extends over several floors, all of which can be reached by lifts.
Can I borrow a wheelchair on site?
You can use your own wheelchair during your visit or reserve a wheelchair. It is recommended to reserve your wheelchair in advance via this link. The number of available wheelchairs is limited. When you pick up a wheelchair, you have to give your identity card as a guarantee.
Are all attractions accessible to people with disabilities?
In this guide, you can find all the information about the accessibility of the attractions. This guide was compiled to make your stay in our parks as pleasant as possible and to prepare your day as well as possible. It goes over the facilities and services available to you as a person with a disability and gives you a better idea of our policies on access to attractions for people with disabilities.
Are there parking spaces for the disabled?
B-Parking Antwerpen-Centraal has parking spaces for people with disabilities. Please follow the signs on site.
Is there a preferential rate for people with disabilities?
Plopsa has preferential rates for people with disabilities. These tickets can only be bought at the reception in the Plopsa parks. As our staff are not authorised to make any assessment regarding a (non-)visible disability, we ask that you present a European Disability Card or a valid declaration (maximum 1 year old) from an independent doctor confirming that you are unable to visit the park and/or the attractions without assistance and/or unable to do queues. If you are a wheelchair user or blind, you should not submit this certificate. The companion of a wheelchair user or blind person receives free entry. For other companions, normal admission fees apply.
What is the minimum age for a companion of a person with disabilities?
The companion must be at least 15 years old.
Is the European Disability Card accepted in the park?
On presentation of your European Disability Card, you can obtain a ticket ≥ 1m at a reduced rate at the park ticket office. Presenting the European Disability Card is not sufficient to use the alternative entrance to attractions.
As a person with a disability, can I visit the attractions via the exit or alternative entrance?
To use the alternative entrance to attractions, we ask you to bring a certificate from an independent doctor or family doctor. This certificate must be no more than 1 year old and confirm that the person in question is mentally and/or physically incapable of queuing in long queues. A valid certificate from the FPS can also be used for this purpose, provided at least 7 points in total have been awarded (in all pillars together). Wheelchair users and the blind do not need to present these certificates. You and your companion will then receive a wristband allowing you to visit the attractions via the exit or alternative entrance.
